Farmer Training
Haller’s farmer training began when a number of communities asked Dr. Rene Haller to explain why and how their land had become so infertile and unproductive. In response, Dr. Haller developed a purpose-built demonstration farm (shamba) to trial, test and teach pioneering farming techniques that rural farmers could use to maximise their food production.
Haller’s methodologies are now recognised as best-practice models in sustainable farming by Kenya’s Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, the United Nations Development Programme and many international consulates.
